Services
Our pediatric ward offers the Minato City Postpartum Mother-Infant Day Care and Breast Care Program (outpatient), providing a restful day-stay experience for new mothers along with the following services:
- Breast care and lactation support
- Consultation for postpartum health concerns
- Infant care guidance (breastfeeding techniques, bathing, developmental concerns, etc.)
- Meal service
Eligibility
Mothers and their infants under 12 months of age who are registered residents of Minato City. Available from Day 5 postpartum for vaginal deliveries, and from Day 7 for cesarean deliveries.
Hours
10:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Please note that leaving the facility during your stay is not permitted.)
Fees
Minato City subsidies are available. Visit the Minato City Postpartum Mother-Infant Day Care and Breast Care Program website to complete your registration, obtain your registration number, and then make a reservation.
Without subsidy, the self-pay rate is ¥33,000 per visit.
Rooms
3 private rooms (currently open with limited capacity; expansion to 5 rooms planned) and a dedicated baby room.
Items Provided by the Hospital
In Your Private Room
(with private shower and toilet)
Bed, desk and chair, towel set, lounge wear, slippers, toothbrush, hair dryer
Please bring your own shampoo, body wash, skincare products, etc.
In the Baby Room
- Formula milk (If you wish to use your own formula, please note that you will need to prepare and store it yourself)
- Bottles and nipples (Boshi Sodan-shitsu / Boshi Jikkan S, M, L / Pigeon S, M, L)
- Baby chair for solid food feeding, toys
- A water dispenser is available for both mothers and babies

- Required municipal documents
(for those using the subsidy) - Maternal and Child Health Handbook
(Boshi Techo) - Health insurance certificate
- Swaddle blanket for napping
(used in the baby room) - Diapers and baby wipes
- Baby moisturizer
(for infants under 2 months of age requesting a bath)
- Clothes for your baby
- Formula milk
(if you prefer to bring your own) - Bottles and nipples
(only if you prefer to bring your own) - Baby food
(for infants who require it)

please bring appropriate utensils - Gauze handkerchief
(for breastfeeding) - Vaccination pre-screening form and infant health check voucher
(if applicable)

About Optional Services
A Day During Your Stay
Reservations & Inquiries
Booking
Please make your reservation through the "Pediatric Postpartum Care" section of the @link app, using the mother's name (and hospital ID if available). Bookings are available from one month in advance at 10:00 AM.
Changes & Cancellations
Please manage any changes or cancellations directly through the booking site by 10:00 AM the day before your appointment. Cancellations without prior notice will incur a cancellation fee. If you are running late, please be sure to call us in advance.
For those using Minato City subsidies: Please also notify Minato City directly. One coupon will be deducted, and a flat cancellation fee of ¥2,000 will apply regardless of the reason.
For self-pay bookings: A flat cancellation fee of ¥8,000 will apply regardless of the reason.
