Medical Collaboration for Childbirth
Comprehensive Perinatal Medical Center
Our facility is designated as a Comprehensive Perinatal Medical Center by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, equipped with a Maternal-Fetal Intensive Care Unit (M-FICU) in the obstetrics ward and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Our team of obstetricians, neonatologists, and pediatric surgeons manages obstetric emergency surgeries, high-risk pregnancies and deliveries, and care for low birth weight (premature) infants.

Guide to Semi-Open Obstetric System
Aiiku Hospital has implemented a semi-open obstetric system in collaboration with local clinics. This system allows local clinic physicians to utilize our hospital's facilities and staff (open system) for joint patient care. Under this system, pregnant women receive prenatal check-ups at nearby clinics while delivering at our hospital or perinatal center, ensuring both convenience for expectant mothers and safe deliveries while maximizing the strengths of each medical facility.

<About Aiiku Hospital's Semi-Open Obstetric System>
Prenatal check-ups are initially conducted at registered clinics, then transition to Aiiku Hospital from weeks 34–36 of pregnancy. Deliveries are performed at Aiiku Hospital by our physicians.
*Patients with high obstetric risk scores will need to visit our hospital for consultation before 34 weeks.
