"Minimally Invasive Surgery: Smaller Incisions, Less Pain, Faster Recovery"

Endoscopic surgery is characterized by smaller incisions, resulting in less post-operative pain and faster recovery. We perform laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries for conditions including uterine fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and endometrial polyps.
-
Uterine Fibroids
Depending on their size and location, uterine fibroids can cause increased menstrual bleeding leading to anemia, menstrual pain, lower abdominal pain, compression symptoms (frequent urination or back pain), and infertility. Surgery may be necessary to alleviate these symptoms. We offer both myomectomy (removal of fibroids while preserving the uterus) and hysterectomy (removal of the entire uterus), with laparoscopic approaches available when appropriate. For fibroids close to the uterine cavity, we also perform hysteroscopic removal without external incisions.
-
Endometriosis
Endometriosis can cause menstrual pain, chronic pelvic and back pain, painful bowel movements, painful intercourse, and infertility. While hormone therapy is the standard treatment, laparoscopic surgery to remove lesions, perform ablation, or release adhesions may be necessary when medication is insufficient, when ovarian endometriomas are large (chocolate cyst), or during fertility treatment. We develop personalized treatment plans, including timing of interventions, based on individual circumstances and preferences.
-
Ovarian Cysts
While ovarian cysts are often discovered incidentally during check-ups, larger cysts can cause abdominal bloating and pain, and may occasionally twist (torsion) or rupture. Since medication is ineffective, surgery is the only treatment option when necessary. We can either remove just the cyst while preserving healthy ovarian tissue or remove the entire ovary. Laparoscopic surgery is possible when imaging studies indicate the cyst is likely benign.
-
Endometrial Polyps
Although often asymptomatic and discovered during routine examinations or fertility workups, endometrial polyps can cause irregular bleeding, heavy menstrual flow, and infertility. Removal may be necessary to improve symptoms or rule out endometrial cancer. We perform hysteroscopic removal using a thin scope, which is an outpatient procedure with minimal post-surgery discomfort.
