"Supporting Patient Recovery with High-Quality Nutrition Services"

Our Nutrition Department is dedicated to providing premium dietary services and was awarded the "2022 Tokyo Metropolitan Governor's Award for Nutrition Improvement in Specific Food Service Facilities" on December 2, 2022. We offer personalized menus based on patients' nutritional needs, provide diverse menu options, and offer individual dietary counseling. We continuously strive to enhance our food service and nutritional management.

  • Inpatient Meals

    Our meal service is based on home-style cooking that patients can replicate after discharge, featuring well-balanced menus with subtle seasonings and high fiber content. Since 2023, we have partnered with the ONODERA Group (experienced in food service at over 800 hospitals nationwide) to enhance meal satisfaction through new menu offerings.

  • Regular/Special/Seasonal Menus

    In addition to regular meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), we introduced special menus in February 2024. We also serve over 20 seasonal meals annually, including New Year’s Osechi and Christmas dinner menus.   • Dietary Accommodations

    We provide options for patients with food allergies and religious dietary restrictions (note: Halal meals not available). Western-style meals are available for international patients.

    • Vitamin-enriched rice is used as our standard grain
    • Some meal plans include afternoon snacks with lunch
    • Evening meals for regular and anemia 2400-calorie plans include supplementary bread or crackers to prevent nighttime hunger during nursing

  • Individual Nutrition Consultation (Prenatal Checkup)

    During regular checkups at 8–12 weeks of pregnancy, registered dietitians address concerns about morning sickness, constipation, anemia, and provide personalized weight management guidance.

     

    Consultation fee: ¥2,000 per session (tax excluded), second session complimentary.

    Under physician referral, registered dietitians evaluate eating habits and develop specific improvement strategies. Please consult your physician or outpatient staff to schedule.

  • Prenatal Nutrition Classes

    Monthly classes for women in mid-to-late pregnancy cover balanced nutrition, portion control, food combinations, and dietary concerns. Monthly in-person class or on-demand video available.

    Fee: ¥550 (tax included)

    Classes held monthly on 3rd Tuesdays, 10:30–11:15 a.m., 9th floor conference room. Complete payment at 2nd floor reception from 10:00 a.m. and bring the receipt with you. Register at reception or by phone.

  • "Aiiku Hospital's Safe Pregnancy Recipes" Book

    Establishing proper eating habits during pregnancy supports postpartum health for mothers, babies, and families. Our cookbook (published by Shufu no Tomo) features our hospital’s actual recipes in single-serving portions, with clear explanations about pregnancy nutrition.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
