"Pharmaceutical Expertise Supporting Safe and Comfortable Childbirth"
Our Pharmacy Department provides comprehensive pharmaceutical services including dispensing, medication management, and sterile/specialized preparation. Our clinical pharmacists work with the Drug Information Center to provide medication support, patient counseling, and pharmaceutical care on the wards. We participate in infection control (ICT), pressure ulcer prevention, gestational diabetes teams, and clinical trials. As a disaster medical support hospital, we also provide emergency pharmaceutical services during disasters.

Dispensing and Medication Management
We dispense medications for both inpatients and outpatients based on physician prescriptions. While we generally provide outpatient prescriptions for external pharmacies, our satellite pharmacy provides emergency pediatric prescriptions during evening hours on weekdays and Saturdays. We ensure comprehensive medication management and appropriate supply.

In-House Pharmaceutical Preparation (Sterile Preparation and Special Formulation)
We prepare epidural anesthesia solutions in our sterile facilities under strictly controlled conditions. We also compound specialized medications when commercial products cannot meet specific treatment needs, including eye drops, ointments, suppositories, injections, diagnostic agents, and parenteral nutrition solutions.

Drug Information Management
We collect and manage the latest medication safety information, side effect data, and other pharmaceutical information from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, pharmaceutical companies, wholesalers, and academic literature. This information is provided to healthcare staff to ensure safe medication use.

Clinical Pharmacy Services ( Ward Services)
Our ward pharmacists provide comprehensive medication management for inpatients to support effective and safe drug therapy. Through bedside visits, we verify patients’ current medications and provide detailed explanations about proper usage, effects, and potential side effects. We collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to optimize drug therapy, providing medication information and recommendations based on each patient’s condition. Our pharmacists monitor medication safety, suggest dosage adjustments when needed, and ensure patients understand their medications both during hospitalization and at discharge. Regular medication reviews and patient education help prevent adverse effects and support optimal treatment outcomes.
