Support for Medical Training and Education
Aiiku Hospital is a teaching hospital where we participate in clinical training for healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses (midwives), medical technicians, and administrative staff. Students may perform procedures under direct supervision with patients' consent. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to let us know. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us train the next generation of healthcare providers.
Photography and Video Recording Policy
While photography and video recording during medical examinations, tests, and procedures is generally not permitted, the following exceptions apply for obstetric patients only:
- The ultrasound screen during your own prenatal examination at the obstetric outpatient clinic
- During the time you and your baby are together in the LDR room after birth
If you would like to take photos or videos, please let a staff member know. We will inform you when it is appropriate to do so. When recording, please ensure that other patients, doctors, nurses, and hospital staff are not captured in your photos or videos. We kindly ask for your cooperation in protecting everyone's privacy and helping create a comfortable environment for all.

Research Information Disclosure
(Opt-Out Policy)
In general, clinical research is conducted with written or verbal informed consent. However, according to national guidelines, certain types of research that only use medical records, without any invasive procedures or interventions, do not require individual patient consent. Instead, hospitals are required to publicly disclose information about such research, including its purpose, and provide patients the opportunity to refuse participation. This approach is known as the “opt-out” method.
If you wish to opt out of any research project, please contact the researcher listed in the documentation. For any concerns regarding patient rights, responsibilities, or hospital operations and services, please reach out to our Medical Consultation Office or Medical Affairs Department.
