"Supporting 2,500 Deliveries Annually with High-Quality Medical Care"

As a Comprehensive Perinatal Medical Center, we are fully equipped to manage high-risk pregnancies and deliveries. Our Labor-Delivery-Recovery (LDR) rooms are located on the same floor as operating rooms, enabling seamless transitions for emergency cesarean sections when necessary.
We prioritize both safety and comfort in childbirth while respecting individual birth plans, offering services such as 24-hour anesthesiologist-administered epidural analgesia, partner-attended births, and midwife-led natural childbirth programs.
-
Prenatal Checkups
During prenatal checkups, we monitor both the mother’s health throughout pregnancy and the baby’s healthy development. Checkups are scheduled according to the following guidelines:
- Every 4 weeks from weeks 15-23 of pregnancy
- Every 2 weeks from weeks 24-35 of pregnancy
- Weekly visits from week 36 until delivery
-
Prenatal Breast Cancer Screening (Ultrasound Screening)
With the increasing incidence of breast cancer during pregnancy, our hospital actively conducts breast cancer screenings during pregnancy. The screening is primarily targeted at women in early pregnancy (generally before 16 weeks) when breast tissue is less dense.
-
Specialized Ultrasound Clinic—Fetal Screening (Fetal Dock)
This clinic provides detailed fetal anatomical screening around 20 weeks and 30 weeks of pregnancy to check for any fetal abnormalities, also known as Fetal Dock (胎児ドック)—a comprehensive fetal screening. Additionally, we screen for placental and umbilical cord abnormalities.
Note:
- Separate appointment from regular prenatal check-ups required.
- Municipal subsidy vouchers can be used.
-
Midwifery Service
Our midwife-led care is available for pregnant women from weeks 19–36. During scheduled visits, we cover:
- Monitoring your baby’s growth and development
- Addressing minor pregnancy concerns
- Breast care and breastfeeding guidance
- Preparing for hospital stay and baby supplies
- Developing your birth plan
At our hospital, we recommend alternating prenatal checkups between midwives and obstetricians for optimal care. Our physician will be available if medical evaluation is needed.
-
Natural Childbirth Program
The natural childbirth program is designed to support the mother’s natural birthing instincts and the baby’s ability to be born, promoting a safe birth experience.
During prenatal checkups, our midwives provide extended time for comprehensive health guidance. We accommodate mothers’ individual needs, ensuring a safe, fulfilling, and personalized birth experience.
-
Lactation Support
Our midwives provide consultation on breastfeeding techniques and related concerns. They will listen to your concerns, such as breast pain, swelling, and lumps, as well as feeding difficulties, concerns about weight growth, and weaning.
Weekday visits are available by appointment. However, emergency care for breast-related issues is available 24 hours a day, including evenings and holidays. In cases of mastitis, breast specialists or obstetricians will provide medical care as needed.
-
Nutritional Counselling
Our registered dietitians provide consultation on early pregnancy dietary concerns and balanced nutrition plans for appropriate pregnancy weight gain.
-
Pregnancy Risk Assessment
You can evaluate potential risks associated with your current pregnancy:
-
Prenatal Genetic Counselling
Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) is primarily conducted at the Aiiku Clinic. At our hospital, NIPT is available only for patients who have difficulty traveling to Aiiku Clinic due to threatened miscarriage or severe morning sickness.
“Comprehensive care for women's health conditions from adolescence through the menopausal years.”

Our services include treatment for menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea), irregular periods, premenstrual syndrome/premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMS and PMDD), contraception, menopausal symptoms, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, cervical dysplasia, and initial fertility treatments with ovulation induction.
*For in vitro fertilization (IVF) and advanced-stage cancer treatment, we will refer you to specialized facilities.
-
Dysmenorrhea (Severe Menstrual Pain)
If you find yourself relying on pain medication to manage severe menstrual pain that interferes with work or studies, you may be experiencing dysmenorrhea. Recent medical advances, including insurance coverage for long-term low-dose hormone therapy, have expanded treatment options for women. We encourage you to schedule a consultation to discuss your symptoms. We will also evaluate for underlying conditions such as uterine fibroids that may be contributing to your pain.
-
Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) / Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD)
PMS involves physical and emotional symptoms that occur in the letter part of the menstrual cycle, while PMDD is a more severe form with significant mood symptoms. While PMS affects more than half of women to some degree, when symptoms limit your productive days within your cycle, they can significantly impact work and academic performance. If you suspect you may have PMS, please consider seeking a consultation.
-
Uterine Fibroids
These are benign tumors that develop in the uterus. While being non-cancerous means surgery isn’t automatically necessary, we may consider surgical treatment if you experience symptoms such as severe menstrual pain or heavy bleeding. In most cases, we can perform minimally invasive procedures using laparoscopy or hysteroscopy, resulting in smaller incisions. For more detailed information, please refer to our Endoscopic Surgery Center page.
-
Cervical Dysplasia
This is a precancerous condition of the cervix, primarily caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infection. Our evaluation includes colposcopy, biopsy, and HPV testing, with cervical cone biopsy when necessary. For cases requiring more extensive treatment, we will provide referrals to specialized facilities.
